Brendan began helping clients around the Washington, D.C. area in 1995 and in 1999 he relocated to Nashville. Currently, he is writing his book titled Never Sell Your First Home which is a guide book with case studies from past clients showing people how to turn their home into a rental.
Brendan specializes in:

Aaron is a Florida State University graduate with over 18 years of experience in the Mortgage industry! He is passionate about educating and preparing all levels of borrowers – from first-time buyers to those refinancing and buying for the second time and beyond.
His clients trust him to tell them what they need and why the presented solution is a good fit, while setting realistic expectations along the way.
Jessie is from Northern Virginia and moved to Nashville in October of 2024. She lives in Lebanon with her husband, Parker, and her two children. Prior to joining our office, she was a stay at home mom and mortgage assistant. She is newly licensed as of January and is training under Brendan, Aaron, Mike, and Tommy.​

Benton Dodd
Marketing and Business Development Manager
A Nashville native, Benton earned his Master's Degree from the Vanderbilt Owen School of Business. He then worked in residential real estate marketing before joining our team in February of 2022. He works with the Smart Start team to develop efficiencies in client communication, and manages our public platforms and CRM communications. He currently lives near Belmont with his wife, Hannah and daughter, Adelaide.

Tommy is a Murray State University graduate that majored in Finance with the Bauernfiend College of Business. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, he relocated to Nashville and joined our team in June of 2020.

Mike Engel
Loan Operations Manager
Mike studied Marketing and Real Estate at Colorado State University and began his career as a real estate office manager. As the manager, he gained a foundation of knowledge for mortgages, real estate markets, the home buying process and more.
Mike has been on the team since April 2018. With his focus and organization skills, he guides clients through the process and communicates with partners along the way. Mike helps you get to the finish line!
